Dr. Jose Manuel Toro, Charge Auditor

 

Dr. Jose Manuel Toro, Charge Auditor - has a Medical Degree from University Autonoma de Guadalajara, Mexico.  He completed a fellowship in Family Medicine and Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery.

Dr. Toro has a vast knowledge of international health insurance management, case management and claims administration.  Dr. Toro served as one of the lead physicians for an international third party administrator handling the health care coordination and delivery for policyholders residing in the territories of Mexico, Central and South America.  

   
 

Dr. Richard Abdallah, Charge Auditor

Obtained his Medical Degree from St. Petersburg Pavlov Medical University in St. Petersburg, Russia.  He has worked as an instructor of Human Anatomy & Physiology, Human Pathology, Pharmacology and O.S.H.A.2 compliance for a Miami-based para-medical training school. 

Dr. Abdallah is multi-lingual with fluencies in English, French, Russian and Arabic.
   
 

Dr. Jorge Mendoza, Quality Control Coordinator

Has a Medical Degree from Universidad Central del Este in Dominican Republic as well as a BA in Chemistry and Biology from St. Thomas University in Miami, FL. 

Dr. Mendoza is a former Department Chair of Health Services Administration and an Anatomy & Physiology Instructor at a Miami-based para-medical training school.  In addition, Dr. Mendoza holds a designation as a National Certified Insurance and Coding Specialist.

Dr. Mendoza is currently working toward theHCAFA (Healthcare Abuse and Fraud Associate) designation through the America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) formerly HIAA.

   
 

Dr. Kenia A. Duran, Case Manager

  Dr. Kenia A. Duran, Case Manager comes to IMAS with a strong background in case management, health insurance claim processing and medical underwriting. She attended Adelphi University in New York City and medical school at Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. After graduation from medical school, Dr. Duran remained in the Dominican Republic for a one year internship.

Dr. Duran has extensive experience in the international insurance marketplace and brings that background to her position as Case Manager for IMAS.

   
 

Stephanie Kondo, Office Manager

  Comes to IMAS with prior experience in insurance, hotel management, accounting and law fields and had her own retail business.  Ms. Kondo handles the day-to-day office functions, payroll, human resources and bookkeeping for the company.
   
 

Serena Lowman, Administrative Assistant

  Handles all of our incoming telephone calls, case receipt and status reports.  She also schedules and facilitates the audit functions.  Ms. Lowman brings a varied background from legal to financial, and has earned a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Florida International University (FIU).
   
 

Martha A. Chavoustie, RN

  Martha A. Chavoustie, RN – Nurse Auditor and Case Manager earned her nursing degree at Jackson Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1981. Ms. Chavoustie has worked in several ICU settings delivering hands on patient care, as well as to act as a nursing supervisor for a home health company. She has also participated as a research nurse in a clinical trial and oversaw the insurance billing and collections for an OB/GYN practice.

Ms. Chavoustie speaks fluent Spanish and has joined the team as an auditor and case manager.

   
 

Tracy M. Buck, RN, BSN

 
  Tracy M. Buck, RN, BSN graduated with a BSN from Mississippi College and has been employed at St. Dominic Jackson – Memorial Hospital since 1997.  She is an operating room and cardiovascular surgery nurse and has experience in ICU, as well as cardiac step down care.  She has also worked as a home health nurse.   Ms. Buck is the IMAS nurse manager for the Mississippi area.
   
 

Marianne C. Killin, RN, BSN

 
  Marianne C. Killin, RN, BSN graduated from Southside Regional Medical Center School of Nursing in Petersburg, VA.  She has been employed at both Southside Regional Medical Center, as well as Columbia / Chippenham Medical Center.  Ms. Killin has been a Progressive Care Nurse, worked in Labor and Delivery, Pediatrics and is currently working as an Endoscopy nurse.  She is a certified instructor for the American Heart Association CPR course, is certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation.  Ms. Killin is the IMAS nurse manager for the Virginia area.
   
 

Judy L. Mahoney, RN

 
  Judy L. Mahoney, RN has a vast background in health insurance from her tenure at Lincoln Financial Group, Alden Risk Management Services, United HealthCare, Inc., and MetLife.  As a recent graduate from Community College of Allegheny County, she adds a nursing degree to her already existing Bachelors of Science – Public Health earned at Wheeling Jesuit College in 1979.  Ms. Mahoney is currently a primary care nurse in Neurology at University of Pennsylvania Medical Center in Pittsburgh, PA and handles review responsibilities for the Pennsylvania area.
